The French DJ and Producer with the face obscuring hood combined with edgy underground beats Sirus Hood has announced the release of his new EP 'Welcome to the Hood' on Amine Edge and DANCE's dynamic label CUFF, out October 6th.
The four track EP is a tasting plate of the break-out producer's style and influences. A blend of Ghetto House and Underground, the production is raw and hard-hitting with a touch of Hip Hop funk. 'What's Up' and 'Booty Noize' are minimalist underground tracks with punchy layering of percussion and bass, while 'Don't Stop' and 'Magic Stick' have more bounce, and the digital samples lend a subtle 80s reference.
Sirus Hood has been touring Brazil, Europe and the US and has been playing at the CUFF residency at Sankeys Ibiza with CUFF creators Amine Edge & DANCE. The breakthrough producer always wears a hood to partially cover his face and doesn't believe in flaunting his success on social media: for Sirus Hood it's all about the music, not the notoriety.
