There is space in the music. The sounds have room to hang in the air before the rhythm takes over again.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd" style="font-family: times; text-align: justify;">For anyone who has followed Bicep through their more club-focused work, it is a reminder that their music has always had an emotional and atmospheric side sitting underneath the percussion.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd" style="font-family: times; text-align: justify;">This set simply brings that side to the front.</p><h3 style="font-family: times; text-align: justify;">A Different Kind Of Bicep Set</h3><p class="isSelectedEnd" style="font-family: times; text-align: justify;">There is a temptation with a Bicep set to go looking for the big moment — the track you recognise, the huge synth line, the point where everything opens up.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd" style="font-family: times; text-align: justify;">This one rewards a different kind of listening.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd" style="font-family: times; text-align: justify;">Put it on with headphones. Let it run. Don't worry about where it's supposed to go.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd" style="font-family: times; text-align: justify;">The mix moves between ambient and electronic textures before eventually reconnecting with more rhythmic territory, making it feel less like a conventional club recording and more like a journey through ideas Bicep are currently exploring.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd" style="font-family: times; text-align: justify;">And that's perhaps the most interesting part.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd" style="font-family: times; text-align: justify;">There are new sounds here, unfamiliar IDs and glimpses of where Bicep might be heading next. Listeners have already picked up on that, with speculation around forthcoming material following the appearance of several previously unheard tracks.</p><p class="isSelectedEnd" style="font-family: times; text-align: justify;">For now, though, this is simply a very good reason to press play.</p><h3 style="font-family: times; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #ff0072;">Listen</span></h3></span></div></div></div></div> <div style="text-align: center;"><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/s9r5sBZR_cU?si=MMiHtV3QL40daemu" title="YouTube video player" width="560"></iframe></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">If you're looking for Bicep at their most atmospheric, start here.</div>

Known for his unwavering dedication to authenticity in electronic music, Stephan has been a key figure in the international techno scene since 2006.</div><div><br /></div><div>Hailing from Bremen, Stephan Bodzin’s journey into music was shaped early on as the son of an experimental musician. His deep-rooted passion for electronic sounds blossomed as he composed for several renowned European theatres, laying a strong foundation for his unique style. Gradually, he transitioned into the club scene, where his innovative sound quickly caught the attention of techno heavyweights like Oliver Huntemann, Thomas Schumacher, and Marc Romboy.</div><div><br /></div><div>Stephan’s signature style—often described as melodic and atmospheric techno—has influenced producers worldwide. His tracks have been released on leading labels such as Get Physical, Datapunk, Gigolo, Systematic, and Giant Wheel. Additionally, he has lent his remix talents to legendary acts including Depeche Mode, Booka Shade, and The Knife.</div><div><br /></div><div>Reflecting on his creative process, Stephan explains, “Throughout my releases and collaborations, I let my ideas flow freely to develop a unique style. Intuition is key because my personal definition of good and bad music constantly evolves.” He proudly identifies as a “melody man,” emphasizing that “it’s the melodies that endure.” This melodic sensibility has earned him praise from icons like DJ Hell, who coined the term “Bremen sound” to describe Stephan’s groundbreaking productions.</div><div><br /></div><div>In 2006, Stephan took full control of his artistic vision by founding the label Herzblut, part of the Plantage 13 collective. This platform has allowed him the creative freedom to elevate his profile globally, reaching audiences as a solo artist. Stephan’s live performances, especially his “Liebe ist…” tour, showcase his phenomenal live set, combining technical mastery with raw emotion.</div><div><br /></div><div>His music, both as a DJ and live artist, often divides opinion—but one thing is certain: Stephan Bodzin’s work embodies the highest level of authentic techno.</div><div><br /></div><div>His Essential Mix offers listeners a captivating two-hour journey through dark, melodic techno of the finest calibre. With a mind-blowing track selection that seamlessly blends atmosphere and intensity, this mix is a must-listen. Even those new to techno will find themselves converted by the power and depth of Stephan Bodzin’s sound.</div><div><br /></div></div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> <iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/wLydZB_dPS8?si=TmbXnl6_OYomgS9K&controls=0" title="YouTube video player" width="560"></iframe>

Johannes Brecht undoubtedly fits in both categories. As a studio and live musician for many German major artists, Brecht was able to build a reputation as a talented newcomer in recent years. A whiz who acted mostly in the background - this is where Brecht felt most comfortable. Therefore, it makes little sense to pigeonhole the man from Stuttgart in only one genre. Let’s try it another way: A classically trained and professional musician roughs up the electronic music scene.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> <br /></div> <div style="text-align: justify;"> Johannes Brecht stands for something that you can call the sound of the future. He is a bustling talent, a musician, a multi-instrumentalist and an exciting producer a potent newcomer with a feel-good vision. His mix recorded live at Indigo in Istanbul showcases the potency of his skills. The mix takes you through the intricate layers of music production while at the same time taking you through the intricate layers of your emotions. It will leave you with an indescribable desire. it will leave you wanting more.<br /> <br /></div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div>
