Greek DJ and producer ARGY is bringing his audiovisual concept, NEWORLD, to Shanghai on 15 November, with a lineup featuring British electronic music duo CamelPhat, Israeli DJ and producer OMIKI, and Final Request. The event will take place at HERO DOME in Shanghai’s Huangpu district. 

The Shanghai date brings NEWORLD to China as a production built around the relationship between electronic music, visual art and immersive stage design. Rather than focusing on a conventional DJ performance alone, the concept uses sound and visuals to create an environment shaped around ARGY’s musical identity. 

A new chapter for ARGY’s NEWORLD

NEWORLD follows the evolution of ARGY’s New World album, released in 2024, and its follow-up project, NEWORLD II. The wider concept extends beyond the music, combining electronic production with cinematic imagery and a futuristic visual identity to create a connected live experience. 

ARGY, whose real name is Argyris Theofilis, has built an international profile through melodic, high-impact electronic productions, including ‘Aria’, ‘Tataki’ and ‘Pantheon’. His collaborations include ‘Higher Power’ with Anyma, while his performances at major festivals and his audiovisual set for Cercle at Jungfraujoch have further established the visual dimension of his work. 

CamelPhat set for mainland China debut

Joining ARGY in Shanghai are CamelPhat, the Liverpool duo of Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala. Known internationally for releases including ‘Cola’, the duo have established a presence across house and melodic electronic music. Their appearance at NEWORLD is billed as their mainland China debut, adding another notable draw to the Shanghai lineup. 

The lineup also features OMIKI, the project of Israeli producer Omri Amar, whose sound draws on progressive trance, alongside Final Request, the electronic music project of producer Anton Kazakov. Together, the four acts bring different approaches to melodic and progressive electronic music to the event.
