The scene is set with ‘Reelfoot Lake’, complete with sinister vocal stabs and laughs alongside offshoots of twisting melody and rattling snares. Next comes ‘Bumpwood’, a collaboration with Khemehk - adding further fuel with gnarly guitar riffs and shattering drum sequences. ‘Cordwood’ follows, this time incorporating hints of piano in the intro before breaking into moments of real frenzy, increasing the pace and throwing in lurching drops along the way. Finally comes ‘Mirkwood’, building suspense with an elongated intro before switching into whirring and snarling bass licks.
