<span style="font-family: inherit;">Well our band broke up since everyone wanted to make differents styles of  music , I needed to make music and beats so without thinking I took my sisters old macbook and started fucking around with garageband, worked my way up into ableton and it just snowballed. In parallel Zach had took on Djing and bought cdjs-1000 and quickly learned how to DJ with CD’s. We met back at sound engineering school where I was nerdy enough to finish but Zach left halfway. fortunately we had already created “madkids” so we kept at it !</span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;"> Well we had no clue what to call ourselves so one day at lunch we settled on madkids and went back to class didn't really think about it. Then that summer we played Picnik Electronique with Riva Starr and he boldly told us the Name madkids “sucked” so we changed to Prince Club and started releasing records on SNATCH! </span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Well i have always been making the music for prince club, We use to work in the studio together but i'm more efficient, so in studio it's mainly just me. To clarify tho we both came back to our Hometown last year (Montreal) & now we both plan to go back to L.A . Its a no brainer  for me Los Angeles is where I feel at home. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Not really, like i said i've always been the main producer for Prince Club so its not really hard to adapt, I worked with alot of different artists, singers, djs, so its not really hard for me to adapt being in studio with people.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">I have a very structured studio week, Most of the time Monday through friday i'll be working with singers, or artists or Dj’s I produce and then friday through sunday ill work on Prince Club tracks. Its the only way i can get stuff done, by having those kinds of super structured weeks. </span></div>

Would you say you have a specific sound/style? How would you describe it? </span></b></div>

Making a new melody with a chopped up vocal is awesome. But i don't know about a specific sound & if so it was never intentional. Just always made whatever i was into.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Well just being signed to toolroom itself was kind WOW, but then when they asked us to do the Selectors Series it was amazing because for the first time we are on a label that believes in us and gives us the opportunity to shine. <span style="font-family: inherit;">We wanted to put in tracks that represented to whole Toolroom catalogue but it was so hard since the catalogue is so big so we just went with our gut and what we really like and actually play. Thank you so much, Hmm there was no real specific reason for these songs, most of them are songs i had laying around for a while and we kept thinking “these need to be out” like when a song you made is 1 year old but still good and you keep playin them in your sets you start thinking “yeah maybe this should be out” So we just took the opportunity to release some stuff because i'm sitting on A LOT of music.</span></div>

Now and then you come across a track that you just can't get of repeat. This usually happens when three uber talented producers join forces. Hotel Garuda and Gryffin teamed up to remix Banks Beggin For A Thread and the result is a summer escape to a secluded island in a song. There's not much to say for their remix except that it will surely take your breath away, turn your mind to mush and make your heart pump custard. The melodies compliment the vocals exceptionally and we love Banks though we somehow wish the track had less vocals.<br />

With its appropriation of hip hop's symbolism and drugged out aesthetic, vocals pitched down, warped into dreary mumblings as the beats they labour over disintegrate into abstract glitches and passing references to the genres they originally stem from. In a period where the lifeless drone and fatalistic chic of Lana Del Rey has crossed over into the type of mainstream appeal that warrants hordes of Tumblr posts with <i>Young & Beautiful</i> lyrics plasted over unrelated shots of nebulae and grayscale palm trees; one can't help but feel a sense of fatigue even before having pressed play on <i>Goddess's</i> first track. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

something of an internet success story, coming from an age where radio shows
and DJs are slowly being phased out as tastemakers and providers of
undiscovered artists, instead, code and algorithms have seemingly stepped into
the role through prompts and suggestions of artists similar to those we’ve
taken a liking to. But even with such advancements in how we currently discover
music, none of these have quite managed to package it into a singular
experience with the keen eye of an art gallery curator quite like Majestic
Casual. They’ve amassed a following well into the millions with their channel
serving as a celebration of pop-leaning electronic music, tasteful photography,
typography and warm colour palettes. This success has culminated in the channel
releasing their first ever compilation album a year ago, normally a feat only
achieved by connected industry insiders and record labels. On the back of that
achievement, they’ve now released their second instalment with an impressive
tracklisting boasting everything from synth-pop darlings CHVRCHES and Empire of
The Sun, summery house takes on AlunaGeorge and Banks and even the self aware
geek-rap of Childish Gambino. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

relatively consistent over the 2 discs with the first taking off immediately
into the warm pop-meets-house territory that you’d expect in a world where
Disclosure have become a household name before dipping into slower indie hues
with Panama and South Africa’s own Clubfeet (Apologies to the other Australian
band members) touching on more melancholic, coastal undertones. The first disc
then swing briefly into more R&B tinted gems like frequent SBTRKT
collaborator, Sampha’s acoustic take on his hit with Drake, ‘Too Much’ before
bowing out with another ballad by talented songwriter </span><span lang="EN-ZA" style="mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">AOSOON’s ‘Under’ hitting on a feel reminiscent of
Daughter’s ‘Youth.’<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

second disc, hitting off with Tourist’s captivating remix of CHVRCHES’ ‘Liar.’
That absolute summer staple ‘Giving It All’ by Bondax features as well along
with Sam Smith and Nile Rodgers being brought together by Disclosure on
‘Together’ a song so inherently sensual you’d be left having to change your bed
sheets. Before you can recover though, Full Crate’s ‘Man x Woman’ delivers the
knockout blow with its soulful crooning and a breakdown that could bring anyone
to their knees. Much of the rest of the disc remains impressively consistent,
managing to keep the listener engaged throughout despite worries that the
novelty would wear off by this stage of the second disc. Towards the tail end
it touches briefly on Childish Gambino at his most vulnerable on ‘Flight of The
Navigator’ and the rather deliberate ‘The Last Song’ by Misch & Carmody
placed as the compilation closer. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
