Barcelona-based beat maker, Playless is set to release his latest EP ‘Hurt’ with Love & Other on February 16th, backed up by remixes from Ben Mono, Sean Roman, Reset Safari and MRJ. 

The title track, ‘Hurt’ perfectly encapsulates Playless as a producer. A combination of looping vocals, stretched-out synths and an energetic b-line, ‘Hurt’ in its original format is one of the producer’s most accomplished works to date. 

Four remixes from an impressive spread of international house talent complete the packet. Established Berlin-based producer, Ben Mono’s remix kicks the track’s BPM up a notch, adding in a wobbly bass hook and razor-edged percussion. 

Reset Safari takes ‘Hurt’ diving headfirst into the darkest realms of deep house, with plucky mid-lines and a incendiary bass lick that’s set to slice straight though the centre of a packed dance floor. Sean Roman sticks to his signature melodic style, adding in sporadic, futuristic-sounding FX whilst retaining the bassline’s recognisable bounce. Finally, MRJ takes it big and padded with a full phat renovation of the original, featuring tinkling top notes and a ready-to-burst bassline; an impressive rework from the Golfclap-backed new comer.
