Ahora Sheffield announce huge double header with Grammy nominated Duke Dumont and Route 94

AHORA ANNOUNCE TWO HUGE SHOWS WITH DUKE DUMONT AND ROUTE 94

In the coming months the O2 Academy in Sheffield is to host some incredible underground parties with a fine selection of the biggest DJs of the day playing each one. It kicks off on November 22nd , which finds Route 94 and Catz & Dogz headlining and 12th December is when Duke Dumont offers a Blasé Boys Club showcase with Jax Jones and Kiwi.

Ahora is a new monthly night that in the past has worked with acts like Skream and Gorgon City, Solomun and Carl Craig. Ahora is well respected for their quality line-ups, boutique and friendly approach and unique event branding, so it is no surprise they have lined-up a party as on point as this.

After a great event with French g house pair Amine Edge & DANCE  on Friday 26th September, it’s to November 22nd with Route 94 and Catz & Dogz. Rowan Tyler Jones is Route94, the artist formerly known as Dream who is now making waves in the world of house and techno having established himself as a dubstep producer earlier in his career.  Despite having worked with dubstep greats like Skream and Benga and vocalist Katy B, his switch to deep house has proved fruitful already with his ‘My Love’ hit becoming a huge commercial success and charting at number 1 in three countries.

Finally comes the Friday 12th December event when chart topping house sensation Duke Dumont comes to town with frequent collaborator Jax Jones and Blasé Boys Club’s Kiwi. Last year the Duke secured his first number one with Grammy nominated tune ‘Need U (100%)’ featuring A*M*E* on singing duties, then earlier this year he followed it up with the even more massive ‘I Got U’.  Duke’s music is some of the most played on the radio, has topped charts all over the world and has been viewed millions of times on YouTube. As boss of his own label Blasé Boys Club, Duke Dumont is the modern dance hero making and breaking records with every release.

Meanwhile, Catz & Dogz are the Polish new school house leaders that have made their Pets label into a bastion of tech house quality. Their quirky sounds have seen them play all over the world and as DJs the duo is just as energetic and exciting, mixing up wonky bass, fresh house and plenty of curveball treats along the way.

As such the coming months at the O2 are sure to be standout, with a real wealth of talent and good times all guaranteed.
