WEVAL SIGN TO KOMPAKT "EASIER" EP OUT NOVEMBER 24 - STREAM TRACK "GIMME SOME"

We welcome you to Kompakt's most exciting new addition of recent time. Weval is a collaboration between two pals from the Netherlands - Harm Coolen (b. 1986) and Merijn Scholte Albers (b. 1989). 2014 started off with a bang for Weval. Their track “Detian” from the Half Age EP was featured in a Schweppes commercial starring Penelope Cruz. Detian ended up at #5 in the French iTunes Electronica top 100. Two month's later the remix they made of Gui Boratto's new single 'Take Control' charted #1 at Beatport's electronica top 100. They will play alongside Michael Mayer, Gui Boratto, Kölsch, Dauwd, Superpitcher and Rebolledo at our ADE party.

Hearing WEVAL's music for the very first time, you might wonder from what geniuses' vault of vintage milestones these sounds have been pulled: the Dutch duo's incredibly catchy arrangements seem perfused by a rarefied pop magic that only a chosen few have truly mastered. Surely, this must be the work of a well- established veteran – or two youngsters so massively talented that it borders on the obscene. Weval's EASIER EP is here to demonstrate that it wasn't an accident, either - with four epic cuts that will haunt you long after you've left the floor. 

EASIER EP WILL BE RELEASED ON VINYL & DIGITALLY NOVEMBER 24TH.
