COONE Releases New Music Video for “Drowning” with Substance One

“After nearly a decade of making music, the artist, born Koen Bauweraerts [Coone], is ready to launch an All-American aural assault.”
—Zel McCarthy, BILLBOARD.COM (12/10/13)

“The producer’s signing to Dim Mak sets the bar high as both are powerhouses in their own right. With the full backing of Steve Aoki and the entire Dim Mak crew, Coone is poised show the world what hardstyle is all about…This new album embodies that mission.”
—Ashley Jimenez, MTV IGGY (12/10/13)

Here is the newest music video from Belgian hardstyle producer/musician/DJ and Dim Mak’s first-ever hardstyle artist Coone for his track “Drowning” with fellow hardstyle producer Substance One.

“Drowning” is a featured track on Coone’s recently released full-length album Global Dedication, available now on Dim Mak Records. The track demonstrates the more melodious spectrum of the album, spotlighting harmonious vocals. A mixture of plush chord progressions and intricately sewn melodies shows off the diversity possible in modern hardstyle. Most impressive of all is how the serene vocals truly capture the emotional context in “Drowning.”

Directed by Andrew Pearce, the video is a dark look into the tortured mind of an unknown woman as she attempts suicide. Beautifully shot and eerily intriguing as it is disturbing, the “Drowning” video follows the dismal images and thoughts of a suicide victim prior to being rescued by a nearby hero.

Global Dedication from Coone is available now on Dim Mak Records.
