Steve Aoki continues his Steve Aoki's Birthday for Relief efforts to help victims of the recent Typhoon Haiyan in partnership with Music for Relief—a non-profit charity organization founded by Linkin Park and dedicated to providing aid to survivors of natural disasters and the prevention of such disasters. In recognition of his recent 36th birthday, Steve Aoki has pledged to match up to $36,000 in donations ($1,000 for every year he’s been alive) to Music for Relief for Typhoon Haiyan Relief. That means that with the help of his fans, $72,000 will go to the Philippines to provide urgent medical treatment, medicine, and supplies to the survivors of the typhoon. Whoever donates or raises the most money for Steve Aoki's Birthday for Relief will win a trip to see him perform on New Year’s Eve in Cancun, Mexico.  Additionally, the promoter for the New Year’s Eve show, Carlos Anaya of Alive Entertainment, has generously donated an additional $10,000 to the cause.

Steve Aoki himself will match every dollar donated to the cause and the funds will helpInternational Medical Corps provide life-saving medical treatment on the ground with an emphasis on water, sanitation, and disease prevention efforts.

Here are some press highlights from the Aokify America Tour:

“Therein lies the beauty of what The Aokify Tour has managed to prove: If it is loud, boisterous and high-energy, the party will rage and Steve Aoki will most likely be at the  center of it, raking in the cash while pumping his fists. Aoki is the consummate modern businessman-as-artist. He's been clever enough to realize that genre definition is a dead scene and is changing the cultural landscape and branding himself in the process. Hip-hop, EDM, rock and pop all shared center stage in an unanticipated celebration of coexistence, rage, and cake.”
—Jemayel Khawaja, The Hollywood Reporter (11/18/13)

“Steve Aoki is one of the most recognizable faces in EDM, literally. In a genre in which people are more often known by an alias and rarely recognized, this producer/label-owner/businessman is a true superstar. Although his beats bang and he's worked with everyone from Rivers Cuomo to LMFAO to Kid Cudi in the studio, it's live where Aoki dominates. His shows turn the stimulation knob up to 11, and he can be seen jumping off trampolines, showering the audience with Champagne, and tossing cakes. Real birthday cakes. His Aokify America Tour, featuring rapper Waka Flocka and dubstep monster Borgore, is one of his biggest to date -- if you're going to be up front, don't wear anything you want to keep clean.”
—Cory Garcia, Houston Press (10/14/13)

“…EDM monarch Steve Aoki always throws one hell of a fiesta. Famous for his relentless touring, the Grammy-nominated DJ also keeps himself busy with his record label, Dim Mak, and musical collaborations with artists including Tiesto, Bloc Party, MSTRKRFT and, as most recently rumored, Big Sean. This year, Aoki's tour has developed a new aesthetic, which the DJ describes as ‘neon future technology’ in preparation for his forthcoming album, Neon Future. Stage props include CO cannons, confetti blasts, Champagne sprays and Aoki's one-of-a-kind glowing headdress and matching, light-up shoes. Performing in his hometown of L.A., Aoki's special guests tonight include Iggy Azalea, Waka Flocka Flame, trap trio Keys N Krates and Linkin Park's Chester Bennington, all ensuring a wild and sonically well-rounded dance party.
 —Britt Witt, LA Weekly (11/14/13)

“There's always going to be a creative boundary to push in visual production as long as there are people performing in front of it…it seems Aoki…has been able to add yet another element.”
—Britt Chester, Westword (11/13/13)

“Today’s electronic music landscape changes rapidly. Artists and fans are influenced by many different styles, which breeds new subgenres and collaborations and keeps the scene constantly evolving. The Aokify America Tour is a direct reflection of that.
—Ed Chapkowski, Orlando Weekly (October 2013)

“…Steve Aoki built the loudest underground rave scene of the 21st century. Aoki's Dim Mak label stands as testament to music production as brand empire…Aoki emerged from the LA suburbs to stand in the vanguard of globalized electronic dance music…”
—Wyatt Schaffner, Portland Mercury (November 2013)

“Steve Aoki never slows down. He’s become one of the most sought-after American DJs and producers in the electronic dance music scene…”
—Kelli Fadroski, Orange County Register (11/12/13)

“Steve Aoki brought an insanely intense crowd of young dancing maniacs to a number of peaks with his unique brand of gigantic sounds and chaotic showboating.”
—Jack Spencer, City Pages (11/11/13)
