Brooklyn's rogue songwriter Christopher Paul Stelling has had a busy 2013. He released his sophomore album False Cities(stream) via Mecca Lecca on May 21st, and spent the majority of the year touring North America and Europe in support of the record. CPS is now prepping demos for his forthcoming third album, while gearing up for a European tour in January. In the meantime, you can listen to his fourth Daytrotter Session, which went live this morning, and features four cuts from False Cities. 

CPS is raising funds for his upcoming European tour by selling limited-editon, handmade leather wallets from salvaged leather, which are available to buy through his website (all wallets come with a free download of False Cities). Stelling is also capping off the year by giving away "Free To Go," another False Cities stand-out, available as a free download via Soundcloud. 

Singing his songs with a pure uninhibited delivery, Christopher Paul Stelling is becoming known for the intensity and passion put into his live performances. Owing as much to the bards and troubadours of times long since past as to his contemporaries, Stelling’s ever developing commitment to his craft is obvious. False Cities is a record that is set to bring Stelling's gothic folk mix of howling fingerpicked stomps and crooning laments to even further realization.
