Produced by Gavin Gardner (The Wooden Sky), Someday, The Moon Will Be Gold embraces the duality of hope and death. This is a record that takes the young 22-year old songwriter to another lever both musically and lyrically. "In a lot of ways this is a record about hope. A hope that things will get better. A hope for the future. A hope for someday," says Kalle Mattson. Written in his childhood him in Sault St. Marie, it chronicles his return to the place where he began writing songs, and gradually came to terms with the death of his mother 5 years prior.
