We’ve watched the scene change, watched new names come through and seen some parties become part of the fabric of Johannesburg’s nightlife. TOYTOY is one of them.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Lato; font-size: small;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Lato; font-size: small;">This Friday, 28 August, the crew celebrates 15 years at And Club in Newtown, with Berlin-based DJ, producer and Weeeirdos founder Lolsnake heading up the anniversary lineup.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Lato; font-size: small;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Lato; font-size: small;">She’ll be joined by a strong selection of local talent, including Ray Bennett (Cape Town), Rhys Mømsen, Blaque Mystery, Mr Fagwinter, Hotboi, Scars, Orwell and Abby Nurock, alongside TOYTOY residents Avi Subban, Illing, Dogstarr, Bongani Zulu, Fabio, GForce and Terry Aronis.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Lato; font-size: small;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Lato; font-size: small;">Lolsnake has spent the last decade building a name for herself within Berlin’s underground. Her sound moves between raw techno, stripped-back club music and more euphoric, emotional moments, making her sets difficult to pin down to one particular genre.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Lato; font-size: small;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Lato; font-size: small;">She’s also a regular at Berghain, and has played internationally at places including Bassiani in Tbilisi, Basement in New York and WHOLE Festival.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Lato; font-size: small;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Lato; font-size: small;">But there’s more to Lolsnake than what happens behind the decks.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Lato; font-size: small;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Lato; font-size: small;">In 2017, she founded Weeeirdos, a queer platform built around community, self-expression and what the project describes as subversive joy.
