Simon Lee : The boy wonder impresses again with a solid track! Its got a huge buildup, a solid drop, a great melody, and a burst of stunning vocals. I hear both producers' sounds colliding here with great results. Definitely one of my favourite tracks this year!

A : This big room track was "ID – ID" for quite some time and it was so good that it got everyone puzzled as to who produced it. It was only when Spinnin’ Records revealed months later it was Martin Garrix that people realised that this young producer is definitely no one trick pony. Hit the link to check out the brilliance of both Martin & Moti in this collaboration.

SL : Released as a bonus track on his new album, this is a sweet rendition with some deep house vibes. Really love the arrangement on this one!

A: Tiesto’s provocative style is here to stay, having released multiple genres throughout his discography. This could be quite discerning to some, but he is undoubtedly a master in making things work across different styles. His effort is evident here on this cover of "Say Something" from A Great Big World.

A: With support from Hardwell, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Nicky Romero, and many more for this one, its no wonder we’ve heard it again and again! Peaking at #2 on the Beatport charts, this makes it their fifth Beatport top 10 record in 2014. Mix this track into your sets and it will be a DJ’s dancefloor savior literally! :)

SL : There seems to always be a vocal trance track on our list and this month we pick this gem from Somna and Jennifer Rene. Not sure if Somna made this track specifically for Jennifer but the outcome seems like it. She's always known which projects to work on and she adds a magical touch with her sound and lyrics. I still have this on repeat!

A : Jennifer Rene is no stranger to the EDM industry as she lends her vocals yet again in this beautifully articulated track by Somna. Infused with piano leads, layers of progressive synths and Jennifer’s magic vocals, this track spells trance at its best. So hit the link, experience the journey and definitely add this to your shopping cart!

A : Sick Individuals are definitely on a roll with collab tracks like "Blueprint" and "I Am." It’s been almost a month since "Made for This" was released and the track is still gaining momentum like there’s no tomorrow. Awesome track!

We’re just a few days until May - the unofficial start to festival season - and we have one hell of a track for you to bang your heads and bodies to. Rising star 3LAU makes the most of his Musical Freedom Records debut by enlisting none other than Tiësto for a special bootleg of his new track, “Bang.”

This exciting release see’s 3LAU rip apart the dance floor with a powerful original instrumental…but then…in comes Tiësto with the iconic acapella from The Bloodhound Gang’s “The Bad Touch” to create something fun and totally unique.

“Bang” is also a special project for 3LAU because throws back to his earliest days as a producer where in his college dorm room he’d mash producers' instrumentals with familiar vocals. “I sent an instrumental to Tiësto in October of 2013, he loved the track and thought it would be awesome to add something w/ an old school vibe,” 3LAU says. “We wanted to try something different, making an original release w/ the same flow & feel of the music I mashed when I started my journey in dance music…and “Bang was born!”

2014 marks a fresh chapter for the young 3LAU (Born Justin Blau), as he transitions from mash-up guru to big room house producer. Joining the release circuit less than two years ago, the 22-year-old 3LAU amassed widespread acclaim with two eclectic collections of bootlegs titled "Dance Floor Filth," and the term continues to describe 3LAU's unique sound. Once his music and mixes reached the ears of fans and bloggers alike, 3LAU earned top 10 Beatport & Hype Machine chart success as well as a DJ reputation for flawlessly blending together bootlegs, remixes, and originals into fast-paced sets that keep crowds guessing.

2. The name Moti is fast becoming a native in the dance scene. How did you get into music and what makes you stand out?

I started dj-ing in 2004 when I started editing tracks and cutting out breaks the guys at the record store said that was disrespectful. So I decided to make my own music!

3. We sure it’s a dream come true, to work with Tiesto, you have a new collab with him “Blow your mind” take us through the track, what inspired the track and did you have any difficult moments while producing it?

Well we wanted to make a big festival track which people would remember after his set at ultra. We first made the drops and then added an out of the box breakdown. Cool thing about the track is that in the first breakdown the tempo slows down to 115 BPM and builds up to 128 BPM and it the second breakdown it slows down to 100 BPM and builds up again to 128 BPM. The slowing down and speeding up gives so much extra energy in our sets!

Be creative and try to experiment with music. I guess that’s what musical freedom stands for!

5. Your tracks are supported by many big name DJs how important do you think it is to have the support of these DJs?

Not sure, I just make a lot of music. At the beginning 9 out of 10 tracks weren’t good enough after a while you get a feel about what works best in your sets and what other dj’s would like to play. When you find this formula your tracks gets better and better!

6. When producing where do you draw your inspiration from? Do you ever listen back to your tracks and think oh god that’s awful?

Haha, always! I’m not satisfied with most of my own tracks. My inspiration comes from different sources but I think the most important source is touring and my own gigs. When I get back home from a tour or a gig I’m full of ideas! When a first version of a track is finished I put on my iphone, get in my car and just drive around with the track on repeat till I know what to change and what can be better.

Tiesto, he’s such a inspiration and teaches me a lot!

I think it depends on what you want to accomplish. I like to road-test and play my own music. If it’s something experimental or totally new I mash it up with a popular vocal or something to give it something recognizable. That is, he’s asking participating artists to provide a DJ mix of music from a genre outside their own. This new music policy will no doubt create a lot of excitement for both the artists and the fans.

Just hours ago at Vegas super club Hakkasan, Avila wrapped up yet another sensational US and Canadian tour that encompassed New York, Long Island, Toronto, Montreal and two dates in Washington DC where he shot the upcoming video for ‘Poseidon’. The Spanish teenager now jets off to make his South African debut at the Rage 4 U Festival before hitting Rome, Budapest and then the UK as part of Tiësto and Calvin Harris’s ‘Greater Than’ tour – when no doubt Poseidon will play a huge part of his electrifying sets.

The track, a thundering combination of deep, throbbing basslines, synth stabs, hammering percussion and drowned melodic lines, more than replicates the energy that Avila has become globally renowned for in his DJ sets, cementing ‘Poseidon’ as a firm fan favourite whenever the Spanish wunderkind steps behind the digital 1s and 2s.
