Launching straight in with a driving rhythmical progression, chugs of bass move beneath the urgent vocal interjections that come into play. As a dynamic synth pattern becomes more prominent, energy levels rise to a peak before lurching, grinding depths are met. Somewhere in the middle you are hit with a range of epic Trap-style rattling snares. This only makes Good Power stand out more as a gem in the ocean. The melodic breakdown that comes before the face melting climax will have you humming along while bobbing your head from side to side.

As one of the most notorious names in bass music, BORGORE has evolved into a genre-bending composer who combines elements of main room electro house, trap and dubstep with original vocals to create a signature sound for his debut studio album #NEWGOREORDER, out today (July 8) on Buygore/Dim Mak. His popularity is not beholden to any individual style, genre, or current music fad but instead to his unique talent as a lyricist, musician, producer and irreverent personality. Just listen to the album’s current single “Ratchet” or the quotable “Bitches love cake” off of“Decisions” featuring pop superstar Miley Cyrus.

After his sold-out album release show at Governors Island in New York City this past July 4 weekend and a stellar broadcast performance at Sirius’ Electric Aquarium last night to wrap up his #NEWGOREORDER tour, BORGORE is continuing his onslaught with his debut studio album debuting today at # 2 on iTunes Dance Albums chart and #39 on the iTunes main album chart. These positions are a testament toBORGORE’s surging grassroots popularity as he sits near the top of the charts without ever having the aid of a radio single.

A fan of the classic film A Clockwork Orange, BORGORE tapped that movie’s incomparable Malcolm McDowell to voice the #NEWGOREORDER manifesto on the LP’s opening track. Other cuts featured on the album include: “Fame” which takes listeners into the depths of the Hollywood party scene, with BORGORE spitting about both his participation in, and disgust, with the vapid landscape surrounding him; “Last Year” (one of the LP’s strongest cuts) which features BORGORE’s lyrically unapologetic vocals aimed against all would-be haters, set over an undeniably huge bass production; and “Hate,” a song engineered to both ignite festival stages and spark controversy as BORGORE’s latest love song.

There’s also “Body and Soul,” where BORGORE enlists the female vocals of his sister Yael for a jazzy rendition of the song made famous by Frank Sinatra--which then breaks down into a bass-heavy monster of a track--and “Syrup” (which up until this point fans have referred to as “Thirsty” after hearing it at shows) showcasesBORGORE at his most filthy.

Look for the video for “Ratchet” to be made available soon.

BORGORE in the press:

“Miley Cyrus collaborator delivers a gloriously brain-damaged spin on the ‘If you’re happy and you know it’ kids’ singalong.”

– Nick Murray, Rolling Stone (July 3-17, 2014) on “Ratchet”

“This garrulous electronic dance music D.J.-producer and Miley Cyrus collaborator aspires to become president of his native Israel. Now that he has topped lineups at Electric Daisy Carnival and Coachella, he probably has the capital for quite a campaign.”

– Stacey Anderson, New York Times (July 3, 2014)

“Hulking bass and raunchy raps are the name of the game here. The beyond-graphic ‘Syrup’ is a slimy dubstep hammer while the trapped-out nursery rhymes of ‘Ratchet’ is a future party favorite. Surprisingly, his ventures into big room house are his most successful, with the grinding electro of ‘Piñata’ and synth punches of ‘Be Ourselves’ being particularly memorable.”

– Chris Caruso, DJ Times (August 2014)

“There is a confounding power in losing your mind for a few hours, especially when that experience is by way of Borgore. The bass-heavy and musically jacked-up dubstep DJ and producer is unequivocally matched in this ability; his beats have a disjointedness about them, yet he is consistent enough that the unsettledness soon becomes raucously groovy. Borgore's beats slam the body, the eardrums, and everything in between. He is there to transport his audience into a rowdy, fast-paced nirvana, where scantily-clad dancers and stunning lights are perfectly attuned to the grimy beats pouring through the speakers.”

-- Eleanor Lambert, Village Voice (July 2, 2014)

BORGORE’s next North American appearance is the Budweiser Made In America Los Angeles festival over Labor Day weekend.

Borgore comes from Tel Aviv, Israel. He is the founder of Buygore Records and former drummer of Israeli deathcore band Shabira. He is also part of the dubstep duo Alphamale Primates, which consists of him and Tomba.Self-described as "Gorestep", his music incorporates triplet drum patterns with heavy metal influences. Some songs have been compared to horror movies, farm animals, and sex. Sometimes he performs under the nicknames: Borgina, Isabelle or Estrella. He has released tracks under Dim Mak Records, Spinnin' Records, Sumerian Records and also his own label Buygore. In 2012, he released the single "Decisions", with back-up vocals provided by Miley Cyrus. His label Buygore records has brought to fame artists such as Document One and even Rusko has released on the label. Current Buygore signees include Dead Audio, Ookay, Kennedy Jones, Bare and At Dawn We Rage among others. Borgore has been credited (slightly jokingly) even by his close friend and fellow producer DJ Carnage for the change in musical style and attitude of Miley Cyrus. His debut album called #NEWGOREORDER has been released on Buygore Records under exclusive license with Dim Mak Records
