The autumn edition features DJ Snake, Above & Beyond, Alesso and Dom Dolla among its leading names, alongside a lineup spanning house, trance, techno and bass music.

The festival takes place at Chimelong Hengqin, with the organisers retaining its three-stage format while promising upgrades to stage production and the overall festival experience. The November event follows VAC’s spring edition earlier this year, marking another instalment in the festival’s growing presence in China’s electronic music scene.

DJ Snake brings Pardon My French to VAC

One of the weekend’s key attractions is a special showcase celebrating the 10th anniversary of Pardon My French, the collective associated with DJ Snake and a wider circle of electronic artists.

The programme includes DJ Snake performing back-to-back with Knock2, alongside a separate pairing of ISOxo and Boys Noize. The showcase brings together different strands of contemporary electronic music, from bass-heavy club sounds to more experimental and high-energy productions.

House music also features prominently, with Australian DJ and producer Dom Dolla and Swedish producer Alesso among the weekend’s headliners. Their appearances add two internationally established names to a bill that moves between club-focused sounds and festival-scale electronic music.

Above & Beyond lead the trance offering

For trance fans, Above & Beyond are among the standout names on the lineup. The British trio have spent decades building an international following through their productions, DJ sets and Anjunabeats label, making their appearance a significant draw for listeners who follow the genre.

The wider programme includes Yotto, known for his melodic and progressive house productions, alongside KREAM, Kasablanca, EMBRZ and Shallou. Their inclusion offers a melodic counterpoint to the festival’s heavier bass and techno bookings.

Drum and bass is represented by Worship, the collective featuring Sub Focus, Dimension, Culture Shock and 1991. The lineup also includes Levity, NGHTMRE, Chris Lorenzo, Reinier Zonneveld and Sarah de Warren, adding further variety across the festival’s electronic music styles.

VAC Festival continues its growth in China

Founded in 2018, VAC has developed across several Chinese cities before establishing a recurring presence in Hengqin. Its continued return to the Chimelong resort reflects the festival’s expanding role in the region’s live electronic music calendar.

The festival was ranked No. 62 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 Festivals poll for 2026, rising from No. 94 in 2025. The ranking marks another step in VAC’s international visibility as a Chinese festival presenting artists from across the global electronic music scene.

With its November edition combining established festival headliners, specialist club sounds and a broad international lineup, VAC is set to close out the year with another major electronic music weekend in Zhuhai.

VAC Festival 2026: Event details

Dates: 28–29 November 2026

Venue: Chimelong Hengqin resort, Parking Lot 5, Hengqin, Zhuhai, Guangdong, China

Headliners: DJ Snake, Above & Beyond, Dom Dolla and Alesso

Tickets: Available through VAC’s official ticketing channels and listed ticketing partners.

Solar Weekend Festival celebrates its tenth anniversary with a 4-day festival at the enchanting Maasplassen Park in Roermond taking place from Thursday July 31st through to Sunday August 3rd. Beach camping, spectacular musical arenas, breathtaking surroundings, diverse musical direction and a penchant for forward-thinking creative entertainment earned Solar the "best multi-day festival of the Netherlands" at the prestigious Golden Gnome Awards earlier this year. The 2014 edition promises to supersede even it’s own high standards with 27,000 people expected to visit the festival this year.

Musical Diversity

Spread over eight stages, Solar’s diverse musical lineup comprises of everything from steaming house deep techno, energetic hip-hop, bass and dub and soul through to live electronic crossover acts. On the main stage are the irrepressible Bassnectar, disco re-inventors Hercules & Love Affair (who will play live) and I Am Legion - the highly regarded bass heavy project comprising of Noisia & Foreign Beggars, plus Great Minds and more. Elsewhere, some of the biggest names in underground house and techno are playing the event including Chicago’s Green Velvet, Dutch bass man Bart B More, and techno titans including Dave Clarke, Berghain’s Marcel Fengler, classic live duo Octave One and new school star Boys Noize.

Colourful Scot talent Hudson Mohawke also brings his big bag of ravey sounds, as does Balearic specialist Aeroplane, pure feel good house pioneers Shapeshifters and Dutch chart topper Gramophonedzie, whilst the underground vibes continue with Dutch man Joris Voorn – who has his very own stage featuring close friends. Enduring Tech legend Timo Maas and minimal stars Dominik Eulberg & Gabriel Ananda feature along with plenty more to look forward to along the monstrous array of talent.

Creative Solar Citizens

Over the last ten years Solar Weekend has grown from a progressive initiative to the most creative festival of the Netherlands. It is built by innovative young artists, designers and performers, aptly named ’Solar Creatives’. Every year anyone can sign up with creative ideas. These can range from unique stage & decor ideas, interactive theatre, graffiti art, unique installations, alternative catering and everything in-between. Over 1000 Solar Creatives come together with the Solar crew to build the festival - it’s built by the people for the people. And the pleasure in building the festival, fuels a great creative society and energy - full of fun, humour, beautiful designs and performances for everyone who attends. Festival organiser Marcel Mingers had this to say;

“Solar Weekend is more than a festival. For the last ten years we have been building towards a totally new creative community and area. Solar Weekend is a springboard for the creative industry. Thousands of young creatives have built, created and performed at Solar Weekend, which is how Solar became what it is today. This prize is a crowning achievement for all the work they put in.”

Inspired by the upper echelons of groundbreaking French techno, electro and house, Parisian DJ duo Alesia cloak audiences in danceable darkness with their upcoming EP, Andrea, out December 3rd via OWSLA.

A perennial favourite of live sets from labelmates Dogblood (Skrillex and Boys Noize), the pair have crafted a hard hitting five-track package of meticulous work, spanning the gamut from cinematic (highlighted by the expansive electronic organ in the EP’s opener, “Dies Irae”) to industrial (with ominous warehouse-ready anthems “Andrea”, “Otho”, and “Jezabel”) to experimental (with the cerebrally glitch-heavy “Industriae”).

Shunning the bounds of a singular genre, Alesia innovate a sound for Andrea that grasps far into the future of contemporary dance music and has garnered a groundswell of attention from fellow artists, critics and audiences alike.
