The first edition of Ultra South Africa officially became the biggest electronic music festival to ever take place on the African continent In 2014. Welcoming over 40,000 music-hungry festival goers across two colossal sold out days (more than 15,000 at Ostrich Farm, CapeTown, and 25,000 at the Nasrec Showgrounds in Johannesburg), tens of thousands of dance music fans from across South Africa and beyond got their first taste of the inimitable ‘Ultra experience’, as they bore witness to some of the world’s best DJs, performing in some of the world’s most beautiful settings, powered by some of the world’s biggest and most advanced production, in what was one of the most peaceful and successful events in Ultra Worldwide’s 17-year history.

The countdown to Ultra South Africa 2015 started way in advance and this past week the excitement was palpable with people buzzing to the max everywhere. In less then 24 hours Cape Town will be set on fire with the sounds of some of the best DJs in the world paired with a light and laser spectacle which will blow your mind.

We have turned our time machine back to this exact same weekend last year just so we can relive and recap Ultra South Africa 2014 and provide you with 5 reasons why you should not miss Ultra South Africa 2015.

1. The Line Up

Last years line up was bumper packed with artists of all calibers, local and international. This years line up is no different ranging from trance, to big room to deep house, taking you through all spheres of electronic music, High energy to chill. We suggest that you definitely check out Gorgon City,  Black Coffee, Oliver Heldens and the local talent!

2. Exquisite lighting lasers and stage production.

If last year is anything to go by this years promises a bigger stage adorned with the infamous U logo combined up with lasers and lighting delivering rainbows in the night sky.

3. Crazy fashion 

We all know when it comes to party apparel the Americans go all out of their way and are unique in how they do it. Ultra gives you an opportunity to do exactly that last year it was refreshing to see people who made the effort to stand out from the rest with personalized Ultra gear. This is your chance.

Standing in the crowd last year we realized everyone is there for the same reason, you are allowed to lose your shit, get wild and go crazy. Don’t hold back cause no one is there to judge
