Dennis Sheperd aims for very first crowdfunded Trance album
One month to go for ‘Fight Your Fears’ to reach € 8.000 goal
Berlin, 14th January 2015 - An innovative, bold idea,
and quite the challenge. German producer, DJ and label owner Dennis Sheperd
likes to set himself new goals. Before February 9th, his
crowdfunding project on Pledge Music has to collect a funding of 8.000 Euro, or
the release of his ‘Fight Your Fears’ album will be cancelled. With 25% of the
goal reached, it’s going to be an exciting few weeks for the trance DJ.
Best known for his ‘Fallen Angel’ & ‘Edge Of The World’ original, as
well as collaborations with Markus Schulz, Rank 1, tyDi and many more, Dennis
Sheperd has quickly left the rising star title behind him. In 2014, he set up
his very own A Tribute To Life label, named after his successful first artist
album and monthly radio show. As if running your own label isn’t demanding
enough, Sheperd also set himself the goal to release the very first crowdfunded
Trance album ever: his second artist album ‘Fight Your Fears’. Planning to
release it on A Tribute To Life and financing it on his own, Sheperd needs help
to pay the vocalists (may have been pre-financed already), designer of the
artwork, mastering engineer and the actual production costs of the physical CD.
Dennis:” A big part of that 8.000 Euro will go to PR & Marketing – you have
to get your album out there. If I don’t reach that goal, I’ll cancel the album release
and all funders will get their money back. However, I prefer to think positive.
So many people have funded this project already, and enjoy exclusive previews
and updates. That’s the main reason I wanted to do this, to get my fans
involved and to be able to offer them exclusive stuff, such as a studio
session, tour around Berlin and booklet mention. I need the support of people
to realize that dream.”
