<span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;">Tristan set his DJ career into motion at a remarkably youthful age of 14 when he decided to start promoting his own club night, Twisted. He kicked off the Twisted parties in a number of underground clubs in Brighton and London and soon secured a reputation as a talented young DJ and promoter, latterly landing a residency at his favorite London club night Peach @ KOKO, where he frequently shared the decks with the talented Eddie Halliwell, Simon Patterson, Markus Schulz & many more. Soon after, he also began playing regularly for Serious @ The Cross, London Tristan’s long-term partnership with BBC Radio 1 DJ Judge Jules has kept him at the forefront of the industry. Working full-time alongside a legend in dance music, Tristan has managed to remain on the cutting edge of music production, and gets to spend his summers with Judge Jules hosting one of Ibiza’s busiest club nights, Judgement Sundays @ Eden in San Antonio. </span></div>

His style ranges from the Teky Maximal side of backroom house up to the more banging uplifting Trance. </span></div>

His collaboration with diffused music genius Anthony Brooks in 2006 got signed to Big In Ibiza records, taking them to the prestigious Miami WMC and catapulting Tristan into stardom in the studio. Since then Tristan has had countless tunes played on BBC Radio 1 and remixes signed to some of the worlds biggest record labels including Ministry of Sound (Data Records), Spinnin and High Contrast. </span></div>

The February-released two-headed monster that was the ‘Radiate’/‘Aquarius’ EP scored big plaudits from the press (“refined”, “fluid” and “great verve!” were just a few of DJ Mag UK’s choice adjectives!) and enjoyed plenty of deck-time from big name spinners, with van Dyk himself naturally leading its charge. </span></div>

With brilliantly ratcheted tension through the break’s measured ascension, he finally liberates the full rush of its synths, delivering the floor its big ‘gotcha!’ moment!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Matthias Paul better known as Paul Van Dyk is a German born, Grammy nominated, Trance DJ and producer  who has released his VONYC sessions 2013 cd and all I can say is WOW is an understatement.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;"> The first CD opens with Paul and Arnej’s ‘we are one 2013’ this techno miracle provides the perfect start to the two CD mix, with a huge build up and a slightly anti-climactic drop this intro mix is the perfect teaser to the album forcing the listener  to keep chasing the drop. Matthias has perfected the flow of the mix looping the end and subtly segueing  in Genix & las salinas’ ‘say another what’ it is as if the two songs were meant to play together. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Van Dyk hasn’t been fooling around with the progression of the mix with club bangers such as Alexander Popov”s ‘moscow subway’, Mark Sixmas ‘requiem’ and W&W and Ummet Ozcans ‘the code’ arriving fashionably early giving the mix an amazing turn into the more modern club trance. Just as the end of the code starts to calm the mix down, Canadian born DJ and producer Max Grahams ‘Evil ID’ starts to creep in, its short build up and sinister drop is just what the mix needed to come together. But before you think you can sit down Paul drops one of my personal favourites ‘Bang’ by Alex M.O.R.P.H. and Jerome Isma Ae a track famous for destroying dance floors. The next few songs sees legends such as judge Jules, Las Salinas and Tristan D all making appearances with their respective tracks. With the first CD winding down with Italian legend Giuseppe Ottaviani ‘ remix of Van Dyks own ‘Lost In Berlin’, Ben Nicky & James Dymonds ‘Refresh’ and lastly Simon Pattersons ‘The One’ completing the mix. The first CD has been excellently mixed with a full range of music from techno to progressive to absolute club bangers had me chair raving for the entire one hour and thirteen minutes.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">CD two kicks off proper with Dutch trance icon Ferry Corsten new track ‘Diss’ providing the ideal platform to start yet another hour of trance heaven. Paul wastes no time in bringing in another amazing track. Jerome Isma Ae remix of Van Dyk’s ‘i don’t deserve you’ Jerome’ remix provides the perfect level of intensity to the emotion in the voice of the lovely Plumb, while Paul  brings back and loops the beginning of Corsten’s ‘Diss’ smoothing the mix into Kyau & Albert’s remix of their track with Paul Van Dyk. ‘Open My Eyes’ is up next, another emotional vocal, gets faded into ‘Talisman’ by South African legend Protoculture. The next few tracks feature songs that have rocked the charts all year such as Andrew Bayers ‘England’,’Nasty’ by Chris Schweizer & Argentineans Heatbeat. Then it is the turn of Dutchman Steven Baan (Estiva)who came up with a sick club banger ‘Dino Drums’ which makes a very welcome entrance. Up next its DNS project with ‘Confront’ another sick tune, its uplifting melody raises the level of the whole mix to a point where you’re praying for it not to end. Paul Van Dyk has shown us once again why his skill as a DJ has landed him shows in every corner of the globe. The way he brings in Giuseppe Ottavianis ‘Earthbeat’ is nothing short of perfect. No strangers to the mix, Las Salinas’s remix of ‘we are tonight’ by PVD himself is yet another brilliant remix by the Israeli duo. Richard Durant also makes a massive entrance with his track ‘Super Dad’. But Paul is wasting no time with his mix bringing in Maarten De Jong ‘Face The World’ an absolute anthem this year. Last up on CD two and ending off the mix is the legendary German trance duo Cosmic Gate with their extended mix of ‘so get up’. </span></div>
