In Search Of Sunrise With Lange

On joining mission: Dubai, Lange says: "I was very excited to receive the invite to be part of the legendary ISOS series!

I've really enjoyed putting this mix together; it's turned out pretty dark and moody, spanning Progressive Trance through to peak time club bangers."

Over 80 minutes he brings together both the best of the underground with music from some of its scene-wide legends. I.S.O.S. forefather Tiƫsto's 'Just Be' (in its newly reworked Kris O'Neil form), Andy Moor's 'Fade To Light', 'Out Of Coverage' by Bobina and his own remake of 'A Different Shade Of Crazy' are just some of the big-name highs. Newer production names shine just as bright, as music from Tangle, Johnny Yono, Danilo Ercole, Dimension and others define and refine Lange's 'Dubai' vision.

Hello and welcome to Think in Electronic, thank you for taking time out to do this interview with us.
in search of sunrise dubai

How are you doing?

I'm very well thanks, just heading home after a week off, hiking in Tenerife!

1.     The best place to go in search of a sunrise? Do you have a picture of the best sunrise you’ve experienced?
I don't have many sunrise pics tbh! I don't tend to get up very early most days so usually miss sunrise, but some of my favourite places to see the Sun rise have been a tiny island I stayed on in the Maldives, Malaysia, and the Western Isles of scotland (where the sun can be a little elusive at the best of times!)

2.     Sunrise or sunset, which do you prefer?
No preference, both can be just as dramatic.  I guess if I had to choose, I'd  pick Sunrise as I don't see so many!

3.     The current ISOS was inspired by Dubai. What stands out about Dubai?
Dubai is a very intriguing place. Much culture combined with the latest technology and arguably one of the most spectacular modern cityscapes.

4.     Dubai is rich in culture, as a DJ you get to travel a lot which countries culture stands out the most for you?
Japan immediately springs to mind. The Japanese have an interesting mix of old and new culture. The latest technology combined with a healthy respect for tradition. I never cease to be amazed by their latest cultural trends and ideas, particularly in Tokyo.

5.     What does In Search of Sunrise represent for you?
It's a long standing Trance compilation that's pretty much stayed true to it's roots. It's great the compilation has opened up to guest mixers and mixing this one definitely ticks a box on my career bucket list.

6.     Partying till the sunrise or partying till the moonlight. IE. Day parties or night parties?
Give me moonlight everytime. I've always prefered partying at night!

8.     Any last messages for fans?
Thanks as always for the continued support and hope you enjoy my ISOS mix!

Thank you so much for doing this interview with us we looking forward to seeing you play  somewhere around the globe soon
